print pick of the week

We all know the old Mies van der Rohe motto "Less is More," but here, in Hannah Easter's business card, you can see it in action. The card measures in at 2.5" on both sides. Its minimalistic, bold silver text on black paper perfectly conveys her profession. (Doesn't it just shout Personal Trainer!) Plus, the square format and accompanying silver border give her a unique card that we're positive will get attention from clients.

Reduce, Reuse

We all know the familiar sight of abandoned telephone books decaying in the snow, but unlike your average household, Paper & Print has been hoarding their yellow pages for months so not a word would go to waste! This week we built hanging sculptures from our mountain of Yellowbooks, and celebrated our local neighborhoods with handmade map cards! What will we think of next? "You read me like a book" cards made from real book pages? Oh yeah, we've got those too.

the nights are getting longer

Autumnal inspiration is everywhere! We love the cute layered outfits, savory foods, and crisp weather, but we can't forget what's coming--winter. And not just any winter, this is the dreaded Chicago winter. So, to keep everyone in a cheery mood year-round, we're going to start devoting a weekly portion of this blog to Rainy Day Activities. These projects will take advantage of paper and everyday items, and will provide you with a fun activity to do with family, friends, or just with your plain ol' self. And by rainy day, we really mean rainy day...snowy day...sunny day... long day...short day...any day!

P.S. Have you seen our window display at night?
